Assemblers meeting 2021
After the last Online Academy in May, we were delighted to welcome our customers on site at ELEKTRON for the installers' conference on 03 and 04 November 2021. "Bringing customers closer to luminaires and everything that goes with them" - that was our goal at the Light Academy event.
With the topic "Why do we need light on the streets?" Jörg Imfeld (Head of Light Academy) started the conference and brought the audience closer to what the task of street lighting is in the first place. After all, the lighting of our streets is especially important at night to prevent traffic accidents and to ensure safety on the roads.
When planning street lighting, there is always the question of which luminaire is best suited where. Michael Heusser (Product Manager Luminaires) spoke about this and presented the eleven luminaire families and their special features. Jörg Imfeld, Petra Freuler and Daniel Otter then explained how the luminaires are controlled and which products are required for this. The speaker Marita Keller informed to the conclusion of the seminar morning about candelabra and suitable accessories, which are necessary for the attachment of the lights.
After a shared apero riche in our light workshop, the afternoon was all about four hands-on workshops. The first workshop was called "Hau den Lukas" - and took place in the Light Workshop. There, everyone could hit a particularly impact-resistant luminaire with a baseball bat to see live how vandal-proof it is. Then it was on to the showroom. There, Manuela Thoma presented the concept of Eagle Eye, with which luminaires can be controlled depending on movement.
After a short break, the workshop on street lights followed. There, Michael Heusser presented a Luma gen2 and showed how easy maintenance can be today. The fourth and last workshop was with Stefan Raymann (Technical Customer Service). He demonstrated how time-dependent control works with Interact City and showed how commissioning works or how an automatic error message appears. The discussions between the customers and the workshop leader were exciting: a lot was exchanged and discussed, so that both sides could benefit.
Afterwards, Jörg Imfeld said goodbye to the participants and an exciting and instructive day came to an end.
