Four cooperatives - one system. BICONT convinces in the Greencity
A new piece of the city is being built on the site of the former Sihl paper mill not far from the center of Zurich: Greencity - the first urban quarter in Switzerland to meet the conditions of the 2,000-watt society. Greencity stands for a new form of urban lifestyle and combines living, working and sustainable, environmentally conscious activities on around eight hectares. The geho, Wogeno, GBMZ and Stiftung für kinderreiche Familien manage 235 apartments spread over three buildings. ELEKTRON equipped the laundry rooms with the BICONT cashless payment system.
Simply wash laundry
"For us, simple operation and administration were very important," said Matthias Lüthi, managing director of GBMZ. The decision to use BICONT devices was made jointly by the three building cooperatives and the foundation. "It was important to us to use the same equipment in all the laundry rooms, and BICONT is ideally suited for this," explained Boris Deister, Managing Director of geho. "Uncomplicated washing from A-Z, that's what we offer the tenants of Greencity," Gabi von Burg (administration geho) tells us.
Four cooperatives - one autonomous system
The four administrations can program their RFID cards with the associated object number themselves. In this way, the credit is clearly assigned to an operator when it is topped up. At the same time, tenants can only use the object-specific cards in the associated laundry rooms.
The four administrations can program their RFID cards with the associated object number themselves. Thus, when charging, the credit is clearly assigned to an operator. At the same time, tenants can use the property-specific cards only in the associated laundry rooms.
The RFID cards are recharged autonomously by tenants at a central charging station, a BICONT 308 MO.
This service also convinced Matthias Lüthi: "The option for tenants to autonomously charge their cards as needed at the machine is perfect." The operation is intuitively designed and additionally promotes uncomplicated washing. Sabine Korner from Wogeno also tells of the smooth administration and satisfied tenants.
Uncomplicated and transparent management
The use of a charging station for four parties is made possible with the product variant "MO" (Multi Operator). Thus the investment costs for the recharging station could be shared.
Thanks to the individually programmed RFID cards and the additional collection service of ELEKTRON, the washing costs are automatically transferred to the correct party. "The uncomplicated billing and the clear report at the end of the month simplify the administration a lot. On the way to digitalization, this is the only solution," Gabi von Burg from geho's administration tells us.
.The collection service provided by ELEKTRON AG minimizes the time and effort required for bookkeeping, while at the same time the regular statements guarantee maximum transparency. Even though most tenants charge their wash cards independently at the central charging station, geho's reception was additionally equipped with a table charging station (BICONT 311LA).
