Customized power electronics

ELEKTRON offers a high-quality range of electronic and mechanical components to customers in a wide variety of industries. The long-established Swiss company specializes in the development of individual solutions in the field of power electronics at its in-house Engineering Center in Au on Lake Zurich.

From the selection and assembly of components to aftersales, customers are advised by the experienced expert. The Swiss warehouse as well as the logistics hub in Poland allow for high availability of products and enable customers to plan and utilize production to the fullest.

Customized power electronics - that is our promise. As a manufacturer-independent expert, we have understood for decades how to implement the highest  requirements in customer-specific designs. With our vision intelligent solutions for efficient systems, we meet the need for increasingly efficient and powerful solutions - nationally as well as internationally.

High quality electronic components with timely delivery

According to customer requirements, a specialized team efficiently and competently designs a holistic solution. In doing so, the entire product range in the performance area of electronics and heat management is covered.

In the field of power electronics, SiC modules are increasingly in demand alongside conventional IGBT modules to make the end product even more efficient, powerful and compact.

The selected product portfolio includes long-standing and reliable partners such as Mitsubishi, Vincotech, Hydra, Petercem or newly Leclanché Capacitors. The ongoing expansion with innovative products allows to offer power electronics at the highest level.

Innovative cooling solutions for optimal thermal management

Thanks to its high level of expertise in the field of thermal management, ELEKTRON develops efficient, customized heat sinks. Based on the individual requirements and design demands, the appropriate manufacturing technology is elicited and the heat sinks are fully assembled.

"The introduction of new manufacturing processes in heat sink production allows us to dissipate more and more heat on smaller and smaller surfaces. New technologies such as laser welding of aluminum offer us flexibility with regard to individual designs. An exciting future is also predicted for 3D metal printing."

Sascha Walker, Product Manager Electronics

The importance of 3D metal printing technology for various areas of the metalworking industry is continuously increasing. Microcoolers are already being mass-produced using additive manufacturing. In this way, small, highly efficient components with 400 W/cm2 cooling capacity can be realized in the micro range.

Nanocoatings for cold plates

ELEKTRON is always working on new technologies to simplify the maintenance of cold plates and extend their service life.

"As an innovative technology, we are currently developing a nanocoating for cold plates to guarantee omnifluid operation and long service life."

Sascha Walker, Product Manager Electronics
