Dynamic light combined with warm light color - for the sake of the environment
In Othmarsingen (AG), the operator of the public lighting the AEW Energie AG was looking for a way to illuminate the bike and pedestrian path Gexistrasse along the railroad line as needed. Central requirements for the lighting were a dynamic control and a warm light color to take into account the environment as well as at the same time to ensure safety on the bike path at all times.
.Three questions for Georg Hess, project manager AEW
.In an interview, Georg Hess, project manager AEW, tells us why the decision was made in favor of dynamic lighting control with Eagle Eye Zhaga and why an "orange" light color is used on the bike path:
Mr. Hess, why did you decide on motion-dependent light control with Eagle Eye Zhaga on the Gexiweg?
The Eagle Eye technology convinces with its easy handling and integration into our product portfolio. In public spaces, it is a key concern for us to adapt the lighting to the needs of our customers. With dynamic control, we can respond flexibly to a wide variety of requirements.
What was the decisive factor in using the warm light color "ClearStar"?
According to the cantonal requirements may be outside of settlement areas only conditionally illuminated. With the use of ClearStar lights - that is, lights with an orange light color with 2000 K - we could on the one hand illuminate the bike path in accordance with standards and at the same time take into account the environment.
.
Are there any other projects planned with ClearStar or Eagle Eye?
Working with our partner communities, we are looking to deploy luminaires with a Zhaga interface. This interface will allow us to retrofit Eagle Eye technology or, for example, traffic-dependent controls in the future with little effort.
In doing so, AEW Energie AG relies on cooperation with competent partners. We felt understood from the outset by ELEKTRON. The planning, implementation and commissioning went flawlessly.
