"Dynamically from 0 to 100% light: commuters should feel safe on the "Voie verte" - and residents undisturbed"
Ensure safety and standards, save maximum energy and minimise light pollution at the same time
The "Green Way" in Bulle (FR) connects the train station with the Planchy-Nord industrial area, an important employment area in the region. The so-called "Voie verte" lives up to its name: Here, the light only comes on when commuters pass it, otherwise it is dark. The 53 or so new Luma Micro luminaires are controlled by Eagle Eye Zhaga radar sensors to maximize energy savings while complying with standards and minimizing light pollution.
You use the Eagle Eye Zhaga motion-dependent lighting control system. Why was this control system chosen?
The path connects the new Bulle train station with the Planchy industrial area over a length of 1.6 km. The majority of the pedestrian flow consists of people who work in the area. Apart from the morning and evening hours, there is relatively little traffic at night. Dimming the lighting down to 0% when the path is not being used by pedestrians was therefore the most environmentally friendly and economical solution.
