LimeCam - Mobile light measurement in Waldkirch
Waldkirch now knows how the street lighting is doing.
The street lighting in Waldkirch is to be modernized over the next five years. For this purpose, a situation analysis was prepared by the consulting company IBG Engineering, in cooperation with the Waldkirch Technical Works, in order to identify the need for action and investment. For the detailed inventory of the lighting quality, a mobile light measurement was carried out with LimeCam.

The area-wide measurement of the 480 light points could be carried out in a single night and has shown where most action is needed and which light points should be refurbished first. Deficits of the current lighting became visible at certain points, which were not recorded in the theoretical assessment. Based on this information, the implementation planning is now being tackled.
