Photovoltaics conference 2024
ELEKTRON presented its Plug & Play solar storage solution at the 22nd Swiss Photovoltaic Conference
On March 22 and 23, 2024, the renowned Swiss Photovoltaic Conference took place for the 22nd time in Lausanne, where around 1000 participants were able to exchange information and ideas with leading experts and companies in exciting lectures and personal discussions on the subject of solar energy. Peter Dietiker was also there with our team of solar storage experts and presented our ready-to-use solar storage solutions.
"On the way to 50 percent solar power" - industry is ready, the new Electricity Act should create the necessary conditions
Once again this year, the Swissolar, organized jointly with EnergieSchweiz and the Verband Schweizerischer Elektrizitätsunternehmen VSE organized the Swiss Photovoltaic Conference, which once again met with great interest with a record number of over 1000 visitors. A number of visitors that also shows how important the topic of solar energy is as a decisive contribution to security of supply. Solar energy is already one of the most important contributors to Switzerland's energy supply. More than 10% of the annual electricity requirement already comes from solar systems and, together with hydropower, makes an important contribution to security of supply in winter. A figure that was first set as a target for 2025 at the Photovoltaics Conference in 2011 and will now be exceeded by 2024 with an expected annual production of 6.2 terawatt hours. And in view of the electricity shortage, this figure is to be increased to 50% by 2035.</p
Under the motto "From 10 to 50% solar power - How is that possible?", the wide-ranging program was dedicated to a variety of current topics and issues relating to this ambitious expansion target. The focus was primarily on the political framework conditions, such as the new Electricity Act, which is intended to create the necessary conditions for the ambitious expansion target and the hurdles to be overcome.</p
However, challenges and developments in the solar energy market as well as research priorities and new areas of application for solar energy and the possibility of integrating photovoltaic systems into infrastructure systems were also discussed in detail during the two-day conference. The conference was complemented by a product exhibition with 55 stands and a scientific poster exhibition, where all interested participants were able to exchange ideas with leading players, companies and experts from the solar industry about current solutions, innovations, best practice examples and project ideas relating to solar energy and photovoltaic systems.
So that the light never goes out - Plug & Play storage solutions from ELEKTRON
We from ELEKTRON were also on site this time with our own stand and demonstrated how our innovative Plug & Play storage solutions enable PV storage systems to be installed in the shortest possible time. Our experts were supported by our partners Solinteg and Pylontech. Our colleagues from Solinteg visited us at our stand and took part in lively discussions on the topic of solar energy.
In our online shop, our customers can find various versions of ready-to-use product sets with an output of 4 - 50 kWp, with which our customers can store their self-produced electricity particularly easily. Our preconfigured and open plug & play storage solutions combine perfectly coordinated hybrid inverters and LFP battery storage for optimal use of solar power at any time of day and can be easily integrated into all decentralized PV systems. Thanks to an integrated emergency power switchover in < 20ms, the power supply is reliably guaranteed even in the event of power grid outages. Find out more about our storage solutions.
We would like to thank all those responsible and participants for an exciting conference, innovative presentations and productive discussions at our stand and, of course, especially Pylontech and Solinteg for their support!
