Motion-dependent path lighting for Salmenpark in Rheinfelden
For the pedestrian walkways in the "Salmenpark" residential district in Rheinfelden, 39 bollard luminaires were used that perfectly match the modern, purist architecture of the surrounding residential buildings. Around half of the luminaires were equipped with motion detectors. The circuitry for this was implemented in such a way that from dusk the bollards are dimmed to 30% via a twilight switch. As soon as a sensor detects movement, the light level of the luminaires assigned to it increases to 100%.
For the implementation of this motion-dependent path lighting, the standard bollard light ELE175 was slightly modified. The selection of the motion sensor was the responsibility of the electrician in charge, who was able to choose a product he trusted. Accordingly, the bollard luminaires were already provided with precisely fitting holes in the factory, so that the electrician had only a minimal installation effort.
