Rapperswil gets efficient old town lighting with retro charm
Jargeau luminaires combine nostalgic atmosphere and energy efficiency
The nostalgic lamps in the old town of Rapperswil have been replaced by 90 efficient Jargeau luminaires with a warm light color. The design language of the new luminaires is reminiscent of their predecessors, but they are many times more efficient and the light can be optimally directed thanks to the choice of suitable optics and the use of anti-glare louvres.
The needs of the population

In order to meet the needs of the population, each luminaire has been optimally matched to its location in terms of optics and glare pattern.
Individually designed luminaires with custom-made adapters
The new lights consume only around a third of the electricity. Thanks to the use of the warm light color 2700 K, they provide atmospheric light in the old town of Rapperswil, around the castle and in the rose garden. In addition to the free-standing luminaires, cable luminaires were also replaced to round off the lighting system.
