Over the past 70 years, ELEKTRON has developed from a pure trading company into an innovative and successful technology company. Its history is characterized by strong personalities and the will to always be one step ahead of the competition.
.In an interview on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of ELEKTRON, former director and Chairman of the Board Hans-Peter Geier tells us that part of the recipe for success is the careful treatment of employees.
Elready in the 1970s, ELEKTRON established various social institutions for its employees. For example, the welfare foundation, the company's own pension fund with considerable benefits for employees. It existed long before the 2nd pillar became obligatory with the BVG. In addition, a staff restaurant was set up early on and care was taken to ensure that employees could build up personal assets - among other things with profit-sharing bonuses and personal savings accounts with preferential interest rates.
Special ownership
Also essential to the company's long-term success is ELEKTRON's special ownership structure. The owner is the patronal welfare fund. It attaches great importance to social responsibility. Strategically important decisions are not only made on a short-term economic basis, but are also checked for compliance with these sustainable values. The Board of Trustees and the Board of Directors are responsible for ensuring that this culture is lived and continued in the spirit of ELEKTRON's founders.
