The mechanical construction is designed for high loads of rolling operation, likewise the electro-magnetic dimensioning meets the requirements for overloads, control range and control dynamics.
From the beginning, slow-running motors of large power for the metal industry have been on our delivery program. After DC motors dominated for a long time, today dynamically high-quality three-phase motors are used: For larger torques as synchronous machines in full-pole design, for smaller torques as asynchronous squirrel-cage motors.
For hot and cold rolling mills, we supply motors for reversing stands in single and twin arrangements, for edgers, for finishing and tandem trains in single, duo or quarto arrangements, for reels, shears and auxiliary drives.
