Fire gas engines
Fire gas engines are particularly suitable for use in mechanical smoke and heat exhaust ventilation equipment.
Based on the proven basic design of the VEM asynchronous motor series, a series has been developed for use in mechanical smoke and heat extraction equipment by means of specially modified insulation systems, bearings and connection technology.
Fire gas motors run under normal conditions as conventional fan motors and are designed so that in the event of a fire, depending on the customer's specifications, they must operate for a certain time at greatly increased temperatures and then be allowed to fail. Even during development, the motors were subjected to stringent tests in which the average situations were simulated as far as possible.
The motors can be supplied in the following versions in compliance with VO(EC) 640/2009.
- Without efficiency classification
- Standard Efficiency IE1
- High Efficiency IE2
- Premium Efficiency IE3
- Super Premium Efficiency IE4 (on demand)
Transponder optional, RFID system iID®2000 (13.56 MHz based on ISO 15693), not suitable for average operation
